The cast of ‘ENCORE! KEY WEST SHOWSTOPPERS’ is made up of more than 25 of Key West’s most talented local performers.
The Waterfront Playhouse will start the season on Nov. 22 and 23 with “ENCORE! KEY WEST SHOWSTOPPERS” — a concert starring more than 25 of Key West’s finest musical theater performers.

Most of these small cottages found in Key West were built by the Gato Cigar Factory. They were made of pine and, unpainted, were worn grey by the weather.
Cigar making and Cuban life in general once revolved around the Gato Cigar Factory in a neighborhood in Key West called Barrio de Gato, bounded by Duval and Simonton streets and Catherine and Amelia streets.

On the evening of November 9, The Studios of Key West will launch a new series called Second Sundays. For each showcase, the former drill hall of the yellow Armory building on White Street will be transformed into a comfortable café where art can have its proving ground.

The military attaché (Eric Rolfe) gets his nose out of joint when the ambassador’s secretary (Sylvia Rickett) can’t understand his orders. The butler, Perkins (played by Arnie Steinmetz) looks on.
I don’t mind, really. I think I could get quite used to it,” says the airy-headed secretary who’s just relocated her desk from the American embassy in London, where there’s been a bomb threat, to the ambassador’s private residence. What she supposes she could get used to is the butler’s hand affixed by super glue to the back of her skirt. But more on that in a bit.
